Chamber Music Hamilton

Chamber Music Hamilton

Chamber Music Hamilton was founded in 1987 by Ezio and Helen Cappadocia, with performances in their home. The concert series later moved to the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts until the 2012/13 season, when it transferred to the fully accessible Art Gallery of Hamilton. Professor Zdenek Konicek was CMH’s first artistic director, succeeded by Sabatino Vacca and then its current co-artistic directors, husband and wife Abigail Richardson-Schulte and Michael Schulte. CMH is incorporated as a non-profit organization with a board of directors.

Chamber Music Hamilton hosts a series of four concerts performed by professional chamber music ensembles from Canada and abroad plus one special feature drawing on regionally based professional chamber musicians under the direction of Michael Schulte. CMH also arranges occasional educational programs at schools and other locations.
